Congratulations to Brooklyn’s Finest Debate Team from 368K for winning this week’s Flocabulary shout-out contest! Their shout-out can be heard on Friday’s edition of the Week in Rap. They won the “Best Expression Through Art” contest for creating two rap-poems about the current terrorist events in Paris and around the world. Congratulations, Brooklyn’s Finest!

Flipped 3

round3flippedThe “Flipped 3” Round begins next Tuesday, and we are still debating the pros and cons of drones- not only for military, but for recreational and commercial uses too. There are still many arguments to consider, but even as the teams are debating this issue, preparations are in motion for the post-season topic, which was announced yesterday.

Round One Wrap-up

Thank you to all of the teams for a strong finish to Round One! The Round Two topic and calendar will be out shortly, so please submit any suggestions for debate topics to Cara by Monday.  All teams debate in Round Two, but it takes at least one win to make it to Round Three, when the eliminations begin.
