Everyone who is familiar with our scoring rubric knows that in order to earn the most points from the judges in the category Use of Arguments, Facts and Evidence, teams must CITE THEIR SOURCES, and that those sources must be credible. How do you know when you need to cite? According to Princeton University, You must cite any quotation, paraphrase, summary, and most importantly, all facts, information and data. For more details, check out their link When to Cite Sources.
Flocabulary.com also has 2 awesome videos about citing sources called Source Evaluation and The Research Process. Check it out.
This chart from a Round 2 debate shows the teams receiving equal scores in three categories: Presentation, Teamwork, and Persuasiveness. That has never before happened in a debate.
